@cripsyfrenchflies You know, she DOES sound a whole lot like Whitney Houston, definately has the same range and quality of voice. Pound for pound, one of the best singers in the competition…and super star good looks.
all of the girls are soooo good. simon has hard choices to make,but melanie and rachel should go to the live shows for sure.
If she doesn’t make it, I’m never gonna watch X-Factor again. Stacy Francis is good too, but Melanie is a little bit stronger vocally and has a wider vocal range.
If this gifted girl does not make it to the final 16, I will be convinced that all these shows are fixed and will not continue to watch them. She is blessed with a beautiful voice. She’s my pick for the winner, hands down!
Melanie…. amazing voice!!! She just might win (you have my vote)…not like the other contestants who had past recording records and didn’t make it. This girl deserves to win (only 18 years old….wow)
@whitewing811 no chance! Thats what they want you to think for extra drama. They do this every year in UK X factor. If they cut Melanie, they might aswell cancel the whole show. I’ve got a feeling he’s talking about Jazzlyn and is putting Tiah through instead. That’s more likely cos they would be worried if Jazzlyn could handle the pressure, and Tiah would be this year’s ‘love her or hate her’ contestant. I like Jazzlyn though, so I hope she makes it

I wonder if they pick up the songs for the contestants because if they want something contemporary for the show, they should check out them. This girl is one of my favourite ones and she is absolutely contemporary !
i didnt hear one negative comment by simon…all he said was that she gave him a look like she was saying you thought u wrote me off as being a contender…and that he wanted to take her out of her comfort zone simon got annoyed when the other guy said something about her not being contemporary
@sfogfgokjsogjsdfks even though you can’t see his eyes because he has sunglasses on! But he had that look during her first audition
@TheVokality I think they make bullshit comments like that on purpose to fool the audience and make it less obvious as to who they will pick, so we’ll all be watching the next show. They’ve said at least one negative thing about everyone else too. I think Simon’s reaction and the fact she was built up and saved til last says it all, she’s everything Simon dreamed of finding since Leona Lewis, you can tell by the look in his eyes!

@trumpetzzz all the performances sounded like that cos they record the audio from the mic line, so it cuts out the noises that you get being outside. To the judges it would’ve sounded more live. It wouldn’t make sense to have them prerecord it and mime when they are trying to decide on the best singers/performers!
